Norman Lane Obituary
Norman “Norm” Dale Lane, 66, of Robertsdale, passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at UPMC Altoona Regional Hospital.
Born on May 31, 1952, a son of the late Norman W. Lane and Melvena (Marks) Lane Palko who survives in Wood, PA.
Along with his mother, he is survived by sister, Lisa (Lane) Shoop, brothers, Dennis Lane, husband of Eileen, Timothy Lane Sr., husband of Deb, Galen Lane, husband of Vera, and Jay Lane, husband of Jennifer, as well as numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved spending time with. He was preceded in death by his father, a niece, Misty Lane, a brother-in-law, Larry Shoop, and his step-father, Andrew J. Palko. He was a 1970 graduate of Tussey Mt. High School and was of the protestant faith and served in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sgt. He was most recently employed as a security guard at Lake Raystown Resort and Lodge but had previously done factory work. He loved the Philadelphia Eagles, Penn State Football, and his hometown Tussey Mt. Titans. He loved chocolate bars, walking and talking with the town folks and enjoyed making people smile.
A memorial service will be held by the family on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 11 AM at the Reality Church of God in Robertsdale, with Pastor Jeff Musser officiating. Friends will be received from 10-11 AM at the church.
