Pete H. Shope, 59, of Robertsdale, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at the Fulton County Medical Center in McConnellsburg.
Born in Huntingdon, Pa. on June 25, 1964, a son of the late Merrill and Marlene Reihart.
On March 17, 1995 he was united in marriage to Roseann (Glore) Shope who survives at their home. The had been together since 1985.
Along with his wife, he is survived by: children, Dustin Shope of Robertsdale, Cassie Shope and companion, Dustin Singer of Robertsdale, Nichole, wife of Eric Johnston of James Creek; siblings, Melanie, wife of Lynn Martz, Lori, wife of Steve Arcq all of Robertsdale; grandchildren, Peyton, Maddison, Skylar, Kaison, Lucas; nieces, Morgan Martz, Miranda Glover, Trudy Arcq; mother-in-law, Carol Glore of Cassville.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, George Glore.
He was a 1983 graduate of Tussey Mt. High School and had held the positions of Fire Chief and Chief Engineer for the R.W.&BT. Vol. Fire Co. where he was also a life member. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Kimble Construction, T. Long Excavating, Manspeaker Excavating, and most recently, C.W. Hetzler.
Pete enjoyed riding four-wheelers, watching old TV Shows, anything working with his backhoe, and especially spending time with his wife and grandchildren.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, May 8 from 2-5 PM at the funeral home with a funeral service starting immediately following at 5 PM with Pastor Jeff Musser officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can me be made to the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. P.O. Box 214, Broad Top City, PA. 16621, to assist the family with final expenses.
