Richard Franklin "Dick" Fisher, 90, of Robertsdale, passed away at his home on Wednesday, November 1, 2023.
Born in Six Mile Run, PA on April 29, 1933, a son of the late Harry and Gertrude (Reed) Fisher.
On February 26, 1956, in Winchester, VA, he was united in marriage to Alice (Swope) Fisher for 67 years, who survives at their home.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his children, Richard L. Fisher, husband of Elva Jean, Diane Hans, and Kevin Fisher, husband of Sherri.
Also surviving are grandchildren, Jayla Weyandt, wife of Jeff, Arielle Neuder, wife of Ancil, Patrick Fisher, husband of Elizabeth, Kristen Roth, Justin Shearer, and Nathaniel Fisher, husband of Nicole. Also surviving are great grandchildren, Emilie Neuder, Leelynn Neuder, Eli Fisher, Kyrsten Fletcher, wife of Matt, James Love, husband of Rose, Karey Love, Katlyn Bleacher, Adyson Weyandt, Natalie Weyandt, and Oliver Fisher, great great grandchildren, Harlyn, Emerson, Ivy, Jax, and Brynleigh, as well as a granddaughter-in-law, Rebecca Love, widow of Jonathan.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Jonathan Love, sisters, Doris Ford, Martha Knepper, and a brother, Wilmer "Bud" Fisher.
During his life he worked as a heavy equipment operator/grader operator for Hemp Brothers for 42 years. He attended the United Methodist Church where he was Superintendent and Sunday School Teacher, and later in life attended the Robertsdale Church of God.
He enjoyed tinkering in the basement, working on cars, hunting, church and his family.
Friends will be received on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at the Robertsdale Church of God from 6-8 PM and again on Monday, November 6, 2023 from 10-11 AM also at the church. A funeral service will be held at the church at 11 AM with interment to follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Broad Top Area Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed to the Robertsdale Church of God, P.O. Box 138, Robertsdale, Pa 16674 to assist in the purchase of an AED machine for the church.
