Rodger A. "Blinker" Barber, 73, of Six Mile Run, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at his home.

Born on November 5, 1949 in Roaring Spring, PA, a son of the late, Willis H. and Norma June Barber.

He was a United States Army Veteran serving with the 101st Airborne during Vietnam. During his life he was a coalminer and auto mechanic and was of the Christian Faith. He enjoyed working on cars and metal detecting. He had three yellow labs Abby, Angel, and Max that he dearly loved. He was a friend to many who all had a story to share about him. He will always be remembered and missed by many.

Surviving are a brother Terry Barber, husband of Darlene, sisters, Deborah Brown, wife of Ronald, and Beth Ann Barber. Also surviving are five nieces and seven nephews.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Bedford County Humane Society.
