Roger was a lifelong Democrat and is remembered by his children as a particularly kind and patient father who enjoyed tending to his pets and regaling his children with stories of his happy childhood. He read the Bedford Gazette each day, clipping news articles of the children’s school and sports accomplishments and keeping himself apprised of political events. Roger enjoyed watching football, NASCAR racing and attending races at the Bedford Speedway as well as morning coffee visits with friends.
