Russel "Jack" Campbell Obituary

Russel B. "Jack" Campbell, 86, of Orbisonia, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at Embassy at Woodland Park in Orbisonia.

Born on June 7, 1938 in Washington DC, a son of the late Harry Bell and Olive Marie (Oldham) Campbell.

As a young adult he went to school for computer science and worked for the University of Marylad for 14 years.

He was also an excellent woodworker. After he left the University, he opened his own small business, "Campbell's Future Heirlooms" which he operated for several years until his illness would not allow it.

He loved working on his computer, doing crossword puzzles from the newspaper, watching Jeopardy, and spending time with his pets. In his early years he enjoyed participating in Civil War reenactments, kite flying contests, and making homemade Halloween costumes for his children which he won several awards for.

Surviving are children, Marie "Belle" Campbell and fiancée Mike Gudde, Nancy (Campbell) Swope, wife of Robert, Russel "Jack" Campbell JR., husband of Kitzi (McKnight), and Terry Willis, sisters, Delores Canon, wife of Harry, and Donna Scarlett, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

At the request of the deceased, no services will be held.
