Russell Irvin Reihart

Russell Irvin Reihart, 74, of Six Mile Run, passed away at his home surrounded by family on Sunday, Nov. 14, 2021, following a brief battle with lung cancer.

Born in Robertsdale, Pa., on Sept. 28, 1947, a son of the late Joseph Eli and Mabel Elsie (Wilson) Reihart.

On Feb. 5, 1971, in Hagerstown, Md. He was united in marriage to Monica (Husick) Reihart, who survives at their home.

Also surviving are a daughter, Kelly (Reihart) Querry, wife of Chris; a son, Russell James Reihart, husband of Shelby; 4 grandchildren: Cameron Querry, Kyle Querry, husband of Abby, Owen Reihart, and Brayden Reihart. Also surviving are a brother, Lewis Reihart, husband of Sis, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his parent, he was preceded in death by siblings: Joseph Jr., husband of Delores; Raymond, husband of Rose; Betty, wife of Edward Garver; Weldon; Merrill, husband of Marlene; Samuel; Josephine, wife of Nelson Adolphson.

He was a 1965 graduate of Tussey Mountain High School and then retired from Penn Dot after 32 years as a foreman; he was formerly a Bedford County Democratic Committeeman and was an active member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Dudley, PA.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, Nov. 17, at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc., Broad Top City, from 6-8 p.m. where vigil prayers will take place a 7:45 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Nov. 18, at 11 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, Dudley, with Father Mark Reid officiating.

Interment will take place in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Broad Top City.
