Susan "Pookie" (Lucas) Gracey

Susan “Pookie” Gracey, 87, of Robertsdale, passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at her home.
Born in Robertsdale on March 17, 1934, a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Benco) Lucas.
She was united in marriage to Harry D. Gracey in 1960. E preceded her in death on October 4, 1999.
She was a graduate of Robertsdale High School, worked at the Mountain House Hotel, Robertsdale Elementary School, and Lake Raystown Resort, however was mostly a homemaker.
She was of the Catholic Faith, a member of the Immaculate Conception Church she served in the kitchen, church camp, and with custodial duties at the church.
Surviving are children, Frank Gracey, husband of Gwen, of Cooks, Glenn “Dean” Gracey, husband of Terri, of Robertsdale, Teresa O’Neal, wife of Kayedon, of St. Thomas, Sisters, Anna Gracey, Margie Wright, Ag Lucas, Libby Zelanko, and a brother Paul Lucas. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews whom she loved and they loved her, especially a favorite nephew, Randy Lucas.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, John and Andy “Pete” Lucas and sisters, Helen Lucas, Ethel Lucas, Mary Grasser, Pauline Hicks, and Barbara Sadano.
She loved cooking and baking, going to bingo with her friends, and especially her family. Her door was always open for family and friends and you never left her home hungry or thirsty.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, August 20, 2021 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Dudley, PA. at 11 AM with Father Mark Reid officiating.
Friends will be received on Thursday August 19, 2021 at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. 5010 Railroad Ave. Broad Top City, PA. from 6-8 PM and again at the church on Friday one hour prior to Mass.
Interment will take place in the I.O.OF. Cemetery, Broad Top City, PA.
