Verda Yablonski Obituary

Verda Yablonski, 82, of Todd, joined her husband in Heaven on their wedding anniversary, September 29, 2019.
Born on September 8, 1937 in Bergy, PA. a daughter of the late George and Norine Oelschlager.
On September 29, 1956 in Trumbauersville, PA, she was united in marriage to Paul Yablonski which produced a 46 year marriage before he preceded her in death in 2002.
Surviving are her children, Nancy Yablonski-Hafey of Stuart Fl., Mark Yablonski and his wife Karen of Royersford, PA, Ron Yablonski and his wife Vickie of Hesston. Also surviving are sisters, Marie Geiser of Limerick, PA., Ruth Meng of New Albany, PA., and Eleanor Jenkins of Stuart Fl., and brothers, Ronald Oelschlager of Graterford, PA., Alan Oelschlager of Stuart Fl., and Robert Oelschlager of Jensen Beach, FL.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Sanders of Collegeville, PA., and brothers, George Oelschlager of Fl., Paul Oelschlager of Limerick, PA., David Oelschlager , of Jensen Beach, Fl., and William Oelschlager of Royersford, PA. Also preceding her in death was a son-in-law, Robert Hafey of Stuart, Fl.
She is survived by 15 grandchildren, Scott, Eric, Caitlin, Derrik, Jay, Brandon, Malaree, Donovan, Chase, Chloe, Chance, Paisley, Camden, Katharyn, and Phoebe.
She was a member of the St. Michaels Orthodox Church in Wood, PA.
Her employment included working at Juniata College, J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, and the Cassville Superette for 28 years. She was a devoted wife, a beloved grandmother whose faith, quiet strength, and deep love will be greatly missed by her family.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public viewing. A graveside service at the St. Michaels Orthodox Cemetery in Wood, will be held on Saturday, October 5, at 11 AM with Father Thomas Klein officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Verda’s memory to the donors local chapter of the American Cancer Society.
