Verna June Neuder Obituary
Verna June Neuder, 89, of Elizabethville, PA. formerly of Dudley, Pa. passed away at the home of her daughter in Elizabethville, Tuesday, August 14, 2018.
Born in Everett, PA. on June 11, 1929, a daughter of the late Nedford and Helen M. (Diehl) Everetts.
On March 17, 1947 in Cumberland Md., she was united in marriage to Eldon Raymond “Bish” Neuder. He preceded her in death on May 21, 2010.
She was primarily a homemaker also having been employed at Claudia Footwear. She enjoyed playing cards, board games, and putting puzzles together and was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Dudley, Pa.
Surviving are three daughters, Judith D. Shepler of Elizabethville, Karen A. Watkins wife of Robert of Saxton, and Darla M. Neuder of Millersburg. Also surviving are a daughter-in-law, Jill Neuder of Washington Courthouse, Oh, grandchildren, Jason Neuder-Jamison, Jessica Griffiths, Maggie Neuder, Travis Neville, Ryan Fessler, Krystal Breinich, Jason and Justin Watkins, Courtney McCarraher, and 13 great grandchildren, as well as two sisters, Virginia Swope and Lucretia Bowser, both of Chambersburg.
Along with her parents and husband of 63 years, she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Eldon Neuder.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 11 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church, Dudley, PA. with Father Matthew Baum officiating.
At the request of the deceased there will be no viewing, however the family will receive friends from 10-10:30 AM at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc., Broad Top City, PA. on Saturday, August 18, 2018.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Ave Maria Cemetery Fund P.O. Box 188, Dudley, PA. 16634.
