Vernon Robert Smith

Vernon Robert Smith 68 of Six Mile Run passed away on July 17, 2025 at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital.

Born in Roaring Spring on July 31, 1956 a son of the late Leo and Grace (Carberry) Smith. Vernon was raised by his late grandmother, Mary Olive Carberry.

On December 24, 1987, in Six Mile Run he was united in marriage to Kimberlee (Drenning) Smith, who survives at their home.

Also surviving is one son Donald Cornelius in Ohio and one grandchild Donovan Cornelius.

Along with his parents, he was proceeded in death by three brothers Victor, Vaughn, and Vance "Nib" Smith.

He was a 1974 graduate of Tussey Mountain High School and was a US Navy veteran.

During his life he was employed as a union cement Mason for years.

Vernon enjoyed fishing, drag racing, restoring a 1913 cook stove that had belonged to his grandmother, and also was an avid dog lover.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no services held.
