Veronica A. “Vonnie” Ramper, 79, of Camp Hill, Pa. passed away unexpectedly on September 19, 2022 with family and friends by her side and prayers from those who could not be there.
Born in Robertsdale on February 10, 1942, a daughter of the late Stephen an Winifred “Sis” Ramper.
Surviving are a son, Gary who was her pride and joy, a brother, Lanny Ramper, husband of Bonnie, their children, Stacy Goss and Chad Ramper, Aunt Estaline Darland, as well as all of her cousins.
A 1961 graduate of the first combined class of Tussey mountain High School after spending the entire year at the Robertsdale High School. While in High School she took the Civil Service test and was then hired by the PA Government and then a few years later she started working for the New Cumberland Army Depot. Vonnie would travel to the Pentagon on A regular basis for the military and was very proud to have worked on the Patriot Missile Project. She was able to take an early retirement having achieved the grade of E-13.
Following her retirement she took her love for dogs and trained her schnauzer to be able to visit the residents of senior retirement communities that they all enjoyed.
Vonnie loved to travel, especially to the beach. She loved to shop and go out to fine restaurants. She was a true patriot who will be missed by her family and friends and her best friend Utoka.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
