William (Bill) C. Axon, 81, of Six Mile Run, PA, passed away September 1, 2022. Born July 6, 1941 in Round Knob, PA. Son of Milburn and Sarah Bell Axon. He was united in marriage on June 21, 1969 to Nancy C. Foor. He is survived by his wife Nancy, daughters Annette Foor of Saxton, Patsy Foor of Six Mile Run, Mary Ann Foor, wife of Gary McQuait of Hopewell, Sarah (Axon) Winter wife of Tim Winter of Defiance, PA. Grandchildren Ryan Foor, wife Samantha of Hopewell, James Lemin Jr., wife Erica of Hopewell, Elainea Neville, husband John Patrick of Tyrone, Erika Axon of Saxton, PA. Great grandchildren Carson, Landon, Keegan, John Henry, Gracelynn, and Charlotte. Sister Sylvia Hoover of Pittsburgh, PA, and several sisters-in-law. Bill was preceded in death by a sister Shirley Axon, brothers-in-law, and lifetime friends John D. Foore and Roger Neville.
Bill graduated in 1959 from Saxton Liberty High School and in 1962 from Thaddeus Stevens Trade School. He served in US Army as an E-4 Specialist and MP from 1964 to 1966. Bill retired from Sandy Run Landfill Water Treatment Plant.
Bill was a member of the Broad Top Area Honor Guard and American Legion Post 169. Bill avidly supported the Tussey Mountain football team and Penn State football. He also enjoyed reading, hunting, his hunting dogs Bell and Duke, and especially his daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no services held.
