William “Bill” Brelsford, 80, of Robertsdale, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at his home.
Born in Providence, RI. on February 12, 1938, he was a son of the late Raymond and Rose (Cardin) Brelsford.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra (Hartenstine) Brelsford, daughter Hope Saylor, wife of Scott, and their children, Krysten Miller, Brendon, Abbie, Ruthie, and Haydon Saylor, a daughter Susan Pace, wife of Lloyd, and their 4 children and 4 great grandchildren, a son, William Brelsford and his 5 children and 5 great grandchildren, and a son, David Brelsford and his 4 children, a sister, Joan Andrews and a brother, Samuel Brelsford, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sons, Michael and Steven Brelsford, and a granddaughter, Christina Brelsford-Loughran.
He was a life member of the R.W.&BT Vol. Fire Co., where he was awarded the Chiefs Award in 1990, the Presidents Award in 1993, and Fireman of the Year Award in 1995. He was a member of the Robertsdale Church of God.
He retired after 20 years of service with the Coast Guard as a machinist first class, then later retired from Scottland School and South Mt. Restoration Center where he worked in maintenance and HVAC. He also worked for several other companies and independently as a home heating technician.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 5-7 PM at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc.
Funeral Services will be held at 7 PM at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. with Pastor Don Evans officiating.
The R.W.&BT Vol Fire Co. will be holding a memorial service at 7PM followed by military honors provided by the Broad Top Area Honor Guard.
Burial will take place in the I.O.O.F Cemetery, Broad Top City, PA.
