William “Bill” Brode, 72, of Saxton went home to be with the Lord on March 21, 2025. He was born on April 27, 1952 to Harold and Verna Brode, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his children, Rebecca married to Chad Ayers, Little Valley, Wm. Daniel married to Stephanie(Zimmerman) Brode, Saxton, and Andrew Brode, Little Valley; his grandchildren, Lauryle, Berkley, and Easton Ayers and Carson and Adalyn Brode. He is also survived by his siblings Terry Brode married to Mina, Tonia married to Leroy Corbin, Carol married to Carl Barnett, Judy married to James Chamberlain, and Don Brode, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Bill was a 1970 graduate of Tussey Mountain High School. He was a local building contractor for most of his life. He enjoyed attending Tussey Mountain Football and Wrestling with Cousin Eddie Lemin and Penn State Wrestling. Bill attended church at Victory Fellowship in Bedford and was a member of the Little Valley Sportsman’s Club.
One of Bill's favorite pastimes was sitting on the porch with family and friends. He enjoyed classic vehicles and was in the process of restoring a 1965 Ford f100 truck. Other things he enjoyed over the years included: time with family at the beach, motorcycle trips to Costa Rica, hunting in Little Valley, and teaching his sons construction skills.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. 5010 Railroad Ave. Broad Top, PA 16621. Family and friends will be received from 10am-11am followed by a funeral service with Pastor Daniel Deihl officiating at 11am. Online condolences can be made at www.caheathfh.com
