Robert Eugene Reed, 77, of Saxton, PA, passed away at the James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center in Altoona, PA.
Robert was born in Hopewell, PA on March 16, 1936, a son of the late Edith (Barton) and Marshal  Reed.
On March 28, 1955 he was united in marriage to Ruth (Whitfield) Reed in Winchester, VA. He was a member of Stonerstown Church of the Brethren and served in the U.S. Army in 1954 and 1955
Robert worked at R&R Vending in Saxton, PA. untill his retirement.
During his life he enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and especially spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Robert was also a Little Leauge Coach for years.
Robert is  survived by a daughter, Brenda, wife of  Chuck Martin, of Six Mile Run, PA;
three sons Rick, husband of  Sue Reed; Robert, husband of  Becki Reed, and Kevin Reed, all of Saxton, PA; Robert is also survived by a sister, Barbara Donelson, of Everett, PA. and 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Joey Reed and sisters, Carol Kuhstoss and Mary Zimmerman, and brothers, Jim, Bill and Lejay Reed.
Friends are invited to call on Saturday June 1, 2013 from 1-3 PM at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc.
Funeral Services will be held at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc., Broad Top City, PA, at 3 PM     on Saturday, June 1st,  with Pastor Scott Criswell and Pastor Steve Oberman officiating with full military honors to follow.
Interment at Grandview Cemetery Saxton, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. P.O. Box 214 Broad Top City, PA 16621 to assist family with final expenses.
