Karen Lee Fessler, 61, of Saxton, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at the UPMC Altoona Hospital. Born in Swickley, PA on November 9, 1953, a daughter of the late June W. (Gribble) Fessler DiPietro and Joseph Martin Fessler. She worked as a Leather Processor at Seton in Saxton and had also previously worked at the Steel Mills in Pittsburgh. She was a Member of the Captain Phillips VFW Post # 4129 Auxiliary, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Saxton Sportsmen Association. Surviving are a daughter, Billie Desaree Fessler, three brothers, William "Bill" Fessler, Greg Fessler, Mark Fessler, a grandson, Ryan Stapleton, Step-Father, Angelio DiPietro, and many Nieces and Nephews. At the request of the deceased there will be no public services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jake Gittlen Cancer Research Foundation, Pennsylvania College of Medicine 500 University Drive, MC H-059 Hershey, PA 17033.
