Darlene E. Horton, 86, of Wood, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at the Village at Morrisons Cove in Martinsburg.
Born in Robertsdale on July 1, 1934, a daughter of the late Percey and Louise (Arcq) Chaney Adams and step father, Robert E. Adams.
On August 8, 1953 at the Robertsdale Church of God she was united in marriage to James E. Horton, who survives at home.
She was a graduate of Robertsdale High School and was a member of the Robertsdale Church of God where she had been a Sunday School Teacher.
She was primarily a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Along with her husband, she is survived by sons, Michael D. Horton and James S. Horton, Grandchildren, Travis, Josh, David, and Andrew, 5 great grandchildren, and sisters, Mary Hoffman May, Ruth George, and Gloria Steele, wife of Don.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Raymond Chaney and Robert H. Adams, sisters, Louise Chaney Pryor, Janelle Adams, and Erma Adams.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 10 AM with Pastor Jared Fields officiating at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 17, 2020 from 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home.
Interment will take place in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Broad Top City, PA.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Robertsdale Church of God, P.O. Box 38, Robertsdale, PA. 16674.

My sincere condolences to Jim, Jimmie, Mike, and sisters, Mary, Gloria and Ruth. Darlene was a very caring person. She was a great neighbor of mine for almost 16 years. May her memory be eternal.
