Chester Lynn Swope, 73, of the Embassy of Woodland Park, formerly of Huntingdon, passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021 at Penn Highlands Hospital, Huntingdon.
Born in Robertsdale on April 11, 1948, a son of the Late Delbert and Winifred Naomi (Fick) Swope.
He was a 1966 graduate of Tussey Mt. High School and later received a certificate in Culinary Arts in Mill Creek. He retired from C-Cor in St. College as a Maintenance Supervisor and belonged to the MT. Union Masonic Lodge #688 and the Jaffa Shriners.
He was of the Methodist faith belonging to the 15th St. United Metodist Church.
He is survived by a son, Kevin, husband of Tina Swope, a daughter, Angela (Swope), wife of Tim Bender, grandchildren, Danielle Swope, Kaine Swope and soon to be wife Tasha, Mackenzie Bender, Tyler Bender, Jason Pool, great grandchildren, Aaliyah, Trent, N’Khia, McKenna, Waylon, Ainsey, Emmett, Haiden, Bentley, Harper, Henley, and Merrick.
Also surviving are sisters, Alice Fisher and Ada Miller, and a brother, John Swope, an aunt, Ida “Petey” Fick and family as well as Brenda Kay Young, the mother of his children.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Walter, Delbert, Robert, and William “Bula” Swope, as well as a grandson, Ernie Bladon.
He was an avid Penn State Fan, enjoyed vacationing in Florida, enjoyed watching football and baseball and watching his granddaughter playing soccer, and drinking coffee with his friends.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 from 6-8 PM at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. and again on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 from 1-2 PM where a funeral service will take place at the funeral home starting at 2 PM with Pastor Jeff Musser officiating.
Interment will take place in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Broad Top City.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Robertsdale Church of God, P.O. Box 38, Robertsdale, PA. 16674.

John & Dorothy & families, we are so sorry for the loss of your brother. Chester was always so nice & had a smile on his face every time we saw him. He made the circus so much fun for our grandsons every time we saw him there. Sending hugs & prayers to all of you. Debby & Bill send their deepest sympathy as well.
