Thomas Allen Ramper, 61, of Thomas Drive, Broad Top City, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Monday May 29, 2017 following a courageous 2 year battle with cancer.
Born in Huntingdon on November 24, 1955, he is a son of Robert and Shirley (Rinehart) Ramper who survive in Broad Top City.
On April 29, 1978 at the Broad Top City Church of God he was united in marriage to Brenda Ann (Brown) Ramper who survives at home following a 39 year marriage.
Along with his wife and parents, he is survived by two daughters, Angela Gabrielson, wife of Eric of Cassville, and Ashley Neuder, wife of Phillip of Broad Top, five grandchildren, Brianna and Lila Gabrielson, and Keagan, Braycen, and Zayden Neuder, a sister, Bobbi Sue Young, wife of Roger of Six Mile Run, a brother Ronald Ramper and companion Cassi Cook of Broad Top, as well as his beloved dog Kipper.
He most recently had worked for Sheetz Distribution on the shipping and loading dock. He had previously worked for New Enterprise Stone and Lime, Penn Lines Tree Service, BG Danis Construction and Seton Co.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandkids having “sleepovers”. He loved learning about local history, especially the East Broad Top Railroad. He enjoyed gardening, bow hunting, and riding his four wheeler. He always looked forward to having a big get together on the fourth of July with his family and friends. He was a member of the Broad Top City Church of God and was a 1973 graduate of Tussey Mt. High School.
Friends will be received on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. from 6-8 PM and again on Friday June 2, from 10 AM until the hour of service.

Brenda and family,

Steve and I wish to express our sincere sympathy for your loss. We all live in such a tight knit community and everyone knew and liked Tommy. May you and the family find peace and comfort in knowing that he is now resting in the loving arms of the Lord and no longer in any pain. Again, our condolences.
