Donald Frederick “Bud” Kline, 80, of Six Mile Run, passed away at home on Saturday, October 21, 2017.
Born in Langdondale on November 13, 1936, the son of the late Frederick and Fern (Dolt) Kline. He was united in marriage to Joan (Spencer) Kline who preceded him in death in 1995.
He is survived by three sons, Donald, husband of Colleen, Phillip, husband of Betty Ann, Jeffrey, and a daughter, Julie Ann. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Kari, Kayla, Kyle, Derek, and a great grandchild Jax, as well as three sisters, Lucy, Zola, Kathy, and a brother Tom. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jill, a sister Jeanne, a brother William, and a close cousin, “Big Bill” who was raised in the family home. He is also survived by his companion Shirley Wright.
He was a lifetime member of the Saxton Sportsman Assn., Saxton VFW, and the Broad Top American Legion. He owned and operated Bud’s Place in Coalmont with his wife as well as being a coalminer, construction Worker, and most recently a corrections officer for the Department of Corrections.
Funeral Services will be held at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 1 PM with Pastor Suzanne Detterline officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service. Military Honors will be provided by the Broad Top Area Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. P.O. Box 214, Broad Top City, PA. 16621 to assist family with final expenses.
